New Regulations

This year there is a change to the player registration procedure. Every player will need to be fully registered before playing. This requires the submission of a copy of the players ID card/Passport and a Passport photo. Submission can either be made electronically through the Team Admin section of this website by sending scanned copies of the photo and ID, or by providing paper copies of the ID and a passport photo.

All players will be issued with an official league ID card, and must produce this card upon the referees or opposing teams request. It is suggested that the team manager keep all the ID cards together for this purpose. New players will need to be registered with the league by the Sunday preceding the players first appearance for the team. Playing unregistered players will result in the deduction of points for offending teams.

This is to stop some of the problems we have had over the last couple of seasons with teams not only playing unregistered players, but attributing goals scored to players that did not score them. This practice is cheating and we are determined to make the Bangkok Premier League a fair competition.

These measures are intended to make the game fairer, not to create more red tape. It is unfortunate that the actions of a couple of teams have made these measures necessary. The referees have been instructed to monitor players ID cards regularly and opposing managers are entitled to request ID cards at any time. This new policy will be strictly enforced by the league to hopefully eradicate this kind of behavior.

Please make sure your ID/Passport copies and Passport photos are submitted by the 30th September 2006 to allow for the production and delivery of the ID cards. This can be done very easily electronically by clicking "Team Admin" on the menu
