A whirlwind start from the Robin Hood saw them blow away casual-league rivals Bangkok Storm, and cement themselves as strong contenders in this season's BPL title race. It was reserved front-man Andy Morecroft's cultured left shin that gave them the lead, as he chipped the 'keeper after some good interchange between the strikers. His second quickly followed, much to the chagrin of his colleagues, this time a good finish from close-in making it 2-0. Storm seemed shell-shocked, and after Leng made it 3 with a solo run and finish that rivalled his wardrobe for flair, half time couldn't come soon enough. To their credit Storm came out fighting in the second half, but the Hood's backline is getting used to this sort of pressure, and with Tom King in particular excelling in an unfamiliar centre-back role, Koghar barely had a shot to save. Disappointing for the Robins, then, that the Storm finally got a goal for all their second half pressure minutes from the end. |
